BIO-SIL IGP/30 is a 30% emulsion of Polydimethylsiloxane specifically formulated for all medium - heavy anti-foaming and de-foaming of water-based paint and coating systems. BIO-SIL IGP/30 has rapid knock down and exceptional hold down of all foam generated from the addition of water and agitation. BIOSIL IGP/30 rapidly disperses into water-based paint systems with low tendency to affect lay and gloss.

Starting Guide.

As a processing additive: For maximum de-foaming efficiency in let down and grind, pre-dilute BIO-SIL IGP/30 with 0.1 to 0.5 parts by weight of the total amount of water before adding to the foaming system. Do not add the BIO-SIL IGP/30 to the water but rather vice versa. In processing applications as an additive, BIOSIL IGP/30 in concentrations of 10 to 500 ppm can be added.

For end use: BIO-SIL IGP/30 emulsion can be added directly from the original shipped container into the foaming system. A concentration in the range of 0.1 to 0.5% has been determined as a good starting amount for water-based paint and coatings applications.

Please Note.

Testing before formulating should still be carried out as systems vary.

Material Safety Data Sheets are available upon request.

The shelf life period without testing is 12 months from date of manufacture, if stored in the original unopened container at 4°C to 27°C.

Mild agitation should be carried out if stored as the nature of any emulsion is to separate without agitation over extended periods of storage.
