PE 50
BIO-SIL PE50 is a cationic 50% emulsion of polydimethylsiloxane and wax, with a built in anti-static additive. It is primarily formulated as a lubricity aid and anti-smearing additive for offset printing machine and folding bars (correct dilution ratio dependent). BIO-SIL PE50 exhibits excellent stability and performance over wide pH and temperature ranges. Unlike 100% active, oil based release agents, BIO-SIL PE50 is non-tacky and easily removed by use of detergents and solvents. The good surface wetting, slip and anti-static properties are unaffected by the addition of water. BIO-SIL PE50 has enhanced slip performance over purely silicone based emulsions and its low viscosity allows for ease of use with automated dosing systems.

The shelf life period without testing is 12 months from date of manufacture, if stored in the original unopened container at 2°C to 39°C.
Emulsions have the tendency to separate when stored for extended periods; this does not indicate shelf life failure, after mild agitation this emulsion will still perform effectively.
