Bonding Agent

3.png

Siltech Bonding Agent T2/T5 is a ready to use, water-based liquid for use in the construction industry as well as in DIY applications. It can be used as a bonding agent between new and old surfaces; as a primer coat prior to plastering, screeding or tiling, particularly if the surface is friable/powdery; as a keying agent on smooth surfaces or as a barrier coating between incompatible surfaces. When added to cement, screeds and grouts, SILTECH Bonding Agent will add flexibility, adhesion and water repellency. T10 is a concentrated alternative with a dilution ratio of 1:3.

Available in:

• 1L Bottles 5L Jerry/5L Bucket

• 20L Bucket  25L Pail

• 200L Drums 1000L Flowbins

Applications

  • Additive – Enhances adhesion, flexibility and water repellency of plaster, screed, tiling adhesive or grout.

  • Keying agent – improves adhesion to smooth, dense, non-porous surfaces.

  • Primer and bonding agent – revive friable/porous surfaces and improves adhesion to the old surface.

Instructions

  • Surfaces must be dry, clean and free from dirt, dust, grease or any other contaminants prior to application.

  • Shake or stir before use. Ready to use, do not dilute further.

  • Additive: Mix into the cement/screed/grout/adhesive in place of the water.

  • Barrier coat: Apply 2 coats to the surface.

  • Bonding agent: Apply 2 coats to the old, friable or porous surface before plastering/screeding/tiling.

  • Application can be done by hand with a roller, brush or spray.

  • Allow each coat to dry before applying the next but be sure to plaster/screed whilst still wet.

  • Excess material can be wiped away with a damp cloth while wet. Tools can be cleaned with warm soapy water.
