It is a fast-setting adhesive that develops high green grab and cures to a tough, flexible bond line that easily exceeds the BS EN 204:2001 D3 durability standard (FIRA-certified).

Q. Is Siltech DK3 water-resistant?
A. Yes. Once cured, Siltech DK3 meets the BS EN 204 D3 standard, which means it provides a water-resistant bond for interior and sheltered-exterior applications.
Q. Can I use Siltech DK3 for outdoor projects?
A. Only if the outdoor application is sheltered. It is not recommended for fully exposed external joints.
Q. What materials does it bond well with?
A. Siltech DK3 is designed for bonding wood to wood, including hardwood, softwood, veneers and engineered wood products. It is not suitable for melamine, coated woods or damp surfaces.
Q. How long should I wait before applying pressure?
A. You should apply pressure to the joint within 10 minutes of gluing. Pressing for at least 30 minutes is required, with 120 minutes being ideal at 20°C.
Q. Can it be used on structural or
load-bearing components?
A. No. Siltech DK3 is not suitable for structural or load-bearing applications. Use it for non-structural joinery only.
Q. How do I clean tools after use?
A. While the glue is still wet, it can be wiped away with a damp cloth. Tools should be cleaned with water before the adhesive cures.
